About
Remington Data Systems exists because government and growing businesses deserve senior engineering — not a pitch team that hands the work to whoever's on the bench.
Leadership
Founder & Principal Engineer
Mike is a senior software engineer with over a decade of experience building production systems across healthcare, fintech, and wellness technology. He spent years as a product engineer at a leading specialty EHR and practice management vendor, building the clinical workflows and integrations that medical practices run on daily. Before that, he delivered public sector consulting work at a Big Four firm, learning how government programs are actually planned, procured, and executed.
He holds a B.S. in Software Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Central Florida — the combination behind the firm's approach: engineering rigor applied to business problems, and business judgment applied to engineering choices.
Mike lives in Maitland, Florida, just north of Orlando.
Operating principles
If we're the wrong fit, we say so on the first call — and point you toward whoever is the right fit.
Progress is measured in deployed, tested increments — not status decks.
Documentation, tests, and knowledge transfer are deliverables, not extras. No lock-in by obscurity.
You work directly with the senior engineers who scoped the engagement. No account-management layer between you and the people doing the work.
HIPAA, security review, and audit trails treated as design inputs — not retrofits.
Staged rollouts, tested rollbacks, and no heroics. Boring launches are a feature.
The name
The firm is named after Remi, the founder's Great Pyrenees mix — the profile in our mark. A working breed: vigilant, dependable, and calm under pressure. It seemed like the right standard to build a company around.
The commitment
We stay deliberately lean so every engagement gets senior attention. Growth plans follow delivery quality — never the other way around. When we team with primes or bring in additional talent, they're held to the same standard: senior, hands-on, and accountable.
Whether you're a prime building a team, an agency exploring options, or a company that needs senior engineering — the conversation starts the same way.
